A deathly madness threatens to claim the pack if they can't find mates. And these wolves aren't about to give up.

Something was going on there, but I couldn’t make myself focus on that as my wolf yanked my gaze back to Sophie.

I continued towards her, her soft smile melting my very soul as she watched me.

Mine. She’s mine.

She’s skeptical, but with a visit from the bubbly witch, she’s convinced it’s worth a shot. Who else would turn down the chance to meet real live werewolves? Especially one that’s been matched to you?

But when she meets Zack, her past haunts her, making it hard for her to open up and accept what he’s offering. How can something so amazing be true? Can this really be true love? Or is it doomed before it begins?

This is a short, fun instalove fated mates read with a HEA.

Chapter One Look Inside

I stood before the easel, precise with my strokes of the paintbrush as I smiled at the scene coming to life. Liz’s little color run show she’d thrown together had been one of the highlights of my life here. I’d never seen my brothers so carefree and playful, having the time of their lives with beer, music, and rainbow powder. We’d laughed and thrown it at one another, acting like children in games of tag, the powder our weapons. Then we’d shifted to raining it down on the dancing couples before we all joined in, dancing wildly to the music. Completely free, without a single care in the world. Seeing Scott and Casey with their mates brought a smile to all our faces, the sheer love and adoration they all shared was something to be envious of, but we were happy for the men who were our family, and now the women. They were as much a part of the Pack as the rest of us now, having been marked. We’d protect them with our lives, as they’d be the future of our little wayward Pack.
I’d decided to paint the mesmerizing scene, having seen some of the photos Eli had taken, and then Regina had taken a few snaps with his camera once he’d shifted to join the rest of us.
The shots he’d taken were incredible, and you could see the difference between his and Regina’s. His were carefully timed from all angles, showcasing how much he had learnt in his photography joy, while Regina had just captured the scene of Dahlia and Liz dancing amidst the rainbow clouds while wolves darted around them, their coats dusted with color.
I painted the scene, adding my own magical twist to it, posing my family the way I thought looked best.
I paused as I heard movement outside, having been so entranced in the moment that I’d almost not sensed one of my Packmates having come to my cabin.
They let themselves in, and I knew as soon as I caught their scent who it was.
“Wow, that’s incredible,” Casey whistled. “You really captured the moment of magic there.”
“It was a day to remember,” I said simply, smiling at the piece.
“It really was. Eli got some good photos of Dahlia and I, and we’re going to get it printed and framed,” Casey said with a grin as I continued carefully adding details. “You going to keep this one?”
“Yes, just want to get it right. It’s one of my favorites I think,” I mused as I cocked my head at it. There was something missing though, something else that could truly bring it together and make it perfect, but I couldn’t put my finger on it.
“I’m surprised you’re ever willing to part with your pieces,” he said as he moved into my kitchen to make himself a drink. We’d become close since he first joined the Pack, as we all were, but we tended to hang out often, lately with Dahlia in tow. I truly didn’t mind having her around, especially with how happy she made him. They were perfect together, a match made in heaven as some would say.
“I like knowing they bring joy to others,” I said as I tried to put my finger on the missing element of the piece.
“Well, I came here to let you know Wyatt has called a meeting for tonight. Another one of Regina’s matchmaking finds,” he shared as he poured himself a scotch on the rocks from my stash.
“Any clue on who the lucky wolf is?”
“No idea, guess we’ll find out this evening.” He sipped the glass, pouring another and bringing it over for me.
Someone was going to be in luck, since I didn’t doubt Regina’s abilities for a second. She’d landed two perfect matches so far, which was impressive. We’d all feared for Scott, but he’d gotten better once he’d claimed Liz. The fact he’d done so quickly had surprised us, especially with how much he’d shut himself out from everyone. But the fiery woman that was now his mate had torn him from his little cave of despair, bringing life back to him.
